Official Fare Slabs for Delhi City Buses
Delhi operates a stage-based ticketing tariff regulated by the Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. Unlike taxi meters, fares are calculated based on pre-defined bus stops called "Fare Stages" (each roughly 2 km apart).
Intra-Delhi bus routes are among the most economical in the world, with starting tickets at just ₹5 on Non-AC CNG buses.
| Travel Distance | Non-AC Bus (Green / Orange) | AC / Electric Bus (Red / Blue) |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 4 km (1–2 stages) | ₹5 | ₹10 |
| 4 km to 8 km (3–4 stages) | ₹10 | ₹15 |
| 8 km to 12 km (5–6 stages) | ₹15 | ₹20 |
| Beyond 12 km (Cross-city capped) | ₹15 (Capped) | ₹25 (Capped) |
| Cross-Border Interstate (Noida/Gurgaon) | ₹25 | ₹35 |
